For someone who has a tugging feeling to go back to the island. This retreat is for you to answer the call to return. For people who want to explore Dominican culture in a meaningful way. They are especially suited for anyone looking to deepen their connection to Dominican heritage.
El Retorno is centered on cultural reconnection rather than a typical travel experience. While we do have plenty of teteo moments, the main priority is showing you a side of DR that you might not have seen otherwise. For most children of the diaspora, we visit the island to see family or be in the campo with Guela. Some of us visit Punta Cana for a wedding or parties. Others fantasize about moving to DR and starting a bi-coastal life. This retreat experience is centered around immersive, community-focused engagement with Dominican culture so you can figure out what your Retorno is.
